Remember when you paid one price for a flight to your favorite destination and it included your luggage? Obviously those days are long gone. Discount airlines offer amazingly cheap fares (eg. Allegiant Air to Vegas) but to recover part of the revenue they lose by offering such cheap fares they charge for seat selection, soft drinks and yes, even carry on luggage...
